SHRIKANTH BOLLA - Success story | bollant industries | blind entrepreneur


Srikanth Bolla a 29 year old blind entrepreneur from Hyderabad, India. he was born on 7 July 

1991 at  Machilipatnam, Andhra Pradesh, India. When he was born, his family were totally 

depend on farming. At that time his family were earning Rs 20000 yearly. 




Srikanth bolla was visually impaired by birth, despite of this, he had got 90% marks in class 

10th. For higher education he chose science stream, but he was not allowed to take science 

stream. He decided to file a case against state government, fought for six months and won the 

case. He scored 98% with science stream in class 12th. after that, he wanted to appear in IIT, 

NITS and other competitive exams, but no one gave him hall ticket for writing competitive 

exams. then he applied for overseas, and got selected in 4 of the best colleges ever in the world: 

MIT, Stanford, Berkeley, etc. He chose Massachusetts Institute of Technology and got 

scholarship. He was the first international blind international student of MIT. After completing 

graduation, he returned back India in 2012. After that, he launched Bollant Industries, in which  

60% employees were poor and physically challenged. Now, Bollant Industries has 450 

employees and the total worth of Rs 50 crore. recently Mr. Ratan tata founder of tata group 

invested in bolla's venture.





Bolla said, when the world said to me that i can't do anythink, I said "I was made blind by the 

perception of people, but I look up at the world and say I can do anything".
